In early April, I came across a heartbreaking news story about a pregnant whale that died with over 50 pounds of plastic in her stomach. I was deeply impacted and saddened by this.
It brought me back to a whale-watching experience I had with my family last October. We saw whales breaching the ocean surface, and a mother whale gently teaching her calf how to tail slap. A pod of dolphins swam alongside our boat, moving effortlessly through the waves. The entire scene was truly magnificent.
This experience strongly inspired me to create a print design centered around whale watching. The beauty of nature and marine life is both breathtaking and fragile. It reminds us to appreciate, respect, and protect the world around us—because even small actions can make a difference.
